ANDRECO
(Andrea Conte, Rome 1978)
He is a visual artist who combines a scientific background — a PhD in Environmental Engineering — with an artistic path investigating the relationships between urban space and natural landscape, between humans and the environment. His reflection on sustainability and the consequences of climate change develops through projects that compose a single multidisciplinary research, elaborated in a minimalist aesthetic, a synthetic, symbolic, and conceptual language, and a plurality of representational techniques: from installations to performances, from video to photography, from murals to painting, from sculpture to public art projects. Andreco has participated in national and international exhibitions and festivals, and his works have been shown at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2018), the Triennale di Milano (2018), the Saatchi Gallery in London (2017), the Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Art in Prato (2017), and MACRO in Rome (2013).
