(Naples, Italy, 1974)[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”bio”]MP5<\/strong>‘s work is rooted in social critique and unfolds through drawing, muralism and installation, all marked by the powerful use of black and white. She studied theatrical scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and animation at the Wimbledon School of Art in London. Growing up within the underground art scene, she has frequently tied her practice to queer and feminist causes. In addition to her independent artistic research, she curated Chime for Change, a gender equality campaign for Gucci.

Their politically engaged work blends graphic novel aesthetics, Asian cultural motifs, Pop Art, and typography, creating layered compositions that critique consumerism and deliver both subtle and overt political messages\u2014often wrapped in deliberate ambiguity. OBEY<\/strong><\/h3>\n

(Charleston, 1970)[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”bio”]The work of Shepard Fairey, aka OBEY<\/strong>, is the epitome of \u201cart as dissent.\u201d Born in Charleston in 1970, Fairey is an iconic and influential figure in contemporary American political street art. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, he was a pioneer of stencil and poster art. He rose to prominence with a guerrilla marketing campaign featuring the face of French wrestler Andr\u00e9 the Giant and the slogan OBEY\u2014which soon became his signature logo. His artistic language explores themes of social control and propaganda, drawing on the iconography of early 20th-century socialist and Soviet Constructivism. STEN & LEX<\/strong><\/h3>\n

(Roma, 1979; Taranto, 1980)[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”bio”]Sten & Lex<\/strong> are a pioneering Italian artist duo based in Rome since 2001, known as trailblazers of stencil art in public space. Their early figurative works celebrated both timeless icons and everyday people. They developed a distinctive contemporary engraving technique through what they call the \u201cstencil poster,\u201d for which they are widely recognized. They participated in Banksy\u2019s Cans Festival in 2008, and their murals can now be found in major cities around the world.
